The B-Safe Ultra infant car seat lives up to Britax’s reputation for safety. This means two layers of side impact protection plus an impact-absorbing base and stabilizing steel frame.
For straightforward installation, the SafeCenter LATCH makes it simple to secure the car seat base in your vehicle. LATCH Connectors lock into place with an audible click and (and are released with the push of a button). When routing a seatbelt, built-in lock-offs ensure a snug fit and dual level indicators let you know the car seat is installed at the correct angle whether you’re using the car seat base or not.
A few more features parent appreciate: the no-rethread harness makes it easy to change the harness height as your child grows, the cover can be removed to clean without having to take off the whole harness and a removable comfort pillow gives your little one some extra support. Lastly, this car seat comes with an extra-large canopy which comes in handy for sun protection and exposure to the elements. It’s rear-facing only, so you’ll need to buy a new car seat when baby is ready to face forward or exceeds 35 lbs. Also, it can easily be turned into a travel system by attaching to any Britax single stroller without an adapter.
